The Living Journal - Words Of My Perfect Teachers

~ I do not believe in a fate that falls on men.
However they act, but I do believe in a fate that falls on them unless they act.

~ Chaos is inherent in all compounded things. Strive on with diligence.

~ Better than a thousand hollow words,is one word that brings peace and loving kindness.

~ I never see what has been done, I only see what remains needed to be done.

~ It is better to conquer yourself than to win a thousand battles. Then the victory is yours. It can not be taken away from you, not by angels or demons, heaven or hell.

~ Just as a candle cannot burn without fire, men cannot live without a right spiritual path.

Thank you for reading and may you find peace and joyfulness within yourself while you are reading this blog.

Words Of Courageous

These are the few ways we can practice humility:

To speak as little as possible of one's self.

To mind one's own business.

Not to want to manage other people's affairs.

To avoid curiosity.

To accept contradictions and correction cheerfully.

To pass over the mistakes of others.

To accept insults and injuries.

To accept being slighted, forgotten and disliked.

To be kind and gentle even under provocation.

Never to stand on one's dignity.

To choose always the hardest.

The Living Journal - Clash of Egos

Being egoist nowadays is considered something bad by the majority of people, but egoism doesn’t mean you can't be good with others. It means you do good to others because you really want to. Many of us forgot how to be egoists and thus are living unhappy lives, or are not very popular among others and so on.

Being egoist means you put yourself and your needs before all others. It means that others are no longer the driving power of your progress but yourself and your needs.  You might think it’s unfair but after all the one to blame is you, for following other's ideas blindly.

You needs to realise that nobody but you knows what's good for you and what's going to make you happy. Only you may walk your path of life and nobody else. There are too many people spend money they earned to buy the things they don't want and also to  impress people that they don't like.

A proud man is always looking down on things and people; and, of course, as long as you are looking down, you cannot see something that is above you. So never let your pride or ego stop you from reaching out to someone you truly care for, but being too egoistic will bring you to nowhere but destruction.

Remember the Lord Buddha taught us  :- The middle paths.

Every time your head touches the ground in prayer, remember it is to teach you to put down your ego.

Thank you for reading and may you find peace and joyfulness within yourself while you are reading this blog.

Don't make empty promises when in love.
Don't be too decisive when you are emotionally disturbed.
Don't speak harshly and abusively when you are angry.
These are the three crucial moments needed to be constantly reminds us.

The Living Journal - Karma Will Be Knocking Our Door

As it's said in Guru Puja, living beings and their environments are filled with unbelievable problems and sufferings, coming one after another like rainfall, sufferings that are the results of negative karma. Many questions raised and asked for a thousand times when one has met adverse or hostile conditions and :-

I have practiced with my devotion faithfully, Why ?
I had prayed every day, Why ?
I have chanted thousand and thousand of mantra daily,Why ?
I am on vegetarian diet and practicing compassion and loving kindness, Why ?
I do charity works and being a charitable person, Why ?
I am suffering a serious illness, Why ?
Is my practise gone wild, Why ?
Buddha or Bodhisattva are not responding to my prayers, Why?

Give up hope and lose my faith and religion completely and negative thoughts are powerful to destroy our faith and will always remind you to give up your faiths . Your fears of practice, the more you practice ,and more hostile obstacles will chase after you.

It's just like the weathers, the four seasons of Spring, summer, fall and winter will arrive naturally whether you like it or not. So whether you are practising Dharma or not , our good and negative karma will be knocking our door naturally.

For example, when you wash a dirty piece of cloth, the water becomes black with dirt. You don't see the black dirt as a negative thing since it means the cloth is getting clean. Rejoice! You should feel great joy about finishing the karma instead of seeing the negative and obstacles are something bad.

"Please grant me blessings to see my obstacles as exhausting the results of my negative karmic imprints, and bless me always transform bad conditions into the path to enlightenment."

So you may think to stay away from the spiritual path or Dharma activities, because you are afraid of your negative karma will be ripen and causing you to have many adverse obstacles, bad luck, sufferings or deadly illnesses. It means, we do not understand what Dharma is, you can think, "I'm exhausted so much of my negative karma now that I've accumulated throughout countless of my past lives.".

In the same way, when we practise Dharma, our negative karmas can be ripen causing you to get sick or unwell or obstacles, because you're purifying so much negative karma by practising Dharma. So you should rejoice when you are having difficulties in life.

Thank you for reading, may you find peace and great bliss. With your support it helps to spread the Buddha’s precious teachings and turning the Dharma wheels in the world.

Words of wisdom

Watch your thoughts and it will becomes your words.
Watch your words and it will becomes your actions.
Watch your actions and it will becomes your character.
Watch your character and it will becomes your destiny.
Watch your destiny and it will becomes your karma.

We don't see the world as it is, rather  we see the world as we are.

In the sky, there is no distinction of east and west; people create distinctions out of their own minds and then believe them to be true.

There are only two mistakes one can make along the road to truth; not going all the way, and not starting.

With your continuing support, it helps greatly to spread the Dharma knowledge and as well turning the Dharma wheel to the world.

Buddha, Who are you ?

When someone asked the Sakyamurni Buddha, who are you ? are you the all almighty God of the universe?
Gautama, the person who became the historical Buddha of our time, He replied with his smiles, " No I am not the god"
The person asked if you are not the all almighty God then what are you?  The Lord Buddha again replied with his smiles, " I am the awaken"

Our own enemy

Our anger is our actual enemy. It is an obstacle that cuts us off from the cause of higher states of rebirth and the definitive excellence that is liberation. If we do not tame it, then outer enemies will simply multiply. They will increase to the same extent that we try to overpower them. And they could present a danger to our lives and to our ability to keep any of the three sets of vows (individual liberation, bodhisattva, and tantric) we may have taken.
We are the ones who make one another into enemies, they can proliferate without limit. By creating such projections, we are engaging in actions that are detrimental. Why is this so? Because there is not one living being who has not been our mother or father, and therefore they should all be the objects if our compassion.
On the other hand, there is not one living being who has not been our enemy. In this way, all living beings are equally our friends and enemies, so being attached to some and feeling hatred for others makes no sense. Through a mind that sees this equality, we should tame the enemy of our own anger with an army of great compassion. This is the practice of a true bodhisattva.
