Cry of the Tibetan Herders

Facing the uncertainty tend to produce certain predictable fears.

• Fear of the Unknown
• Fear of Failure
• Fear of Abandonment
• Fear of Culture and heritage disappearing

To be truthful, there are many fears and uncertainty what lies ahead of the  Tibetan world.” Fear of an uncertain future and all this related fears can stop us from doing great things, and it can keep us holding onto things that are hurting us.  Fear does not make us strong, instead it makes us weak and incapable of function our minds and thoughts in a right direction.
In Tibet, an estimated 2 - 3 million Tibetan herders live with their herds in the northern and eastern regions of the plateau. Tibetan herders have lived for centuries in the high grasslands of Central Asia, yet many development programs are currently transforming their lives. Tibetan herders face uncertain future and the traditional herder is fast vanishing by one of the main assumptions of PRC policy, China
Many people’s lives are dedicated to Tibetan Buddhism. Religious customs are part of everyday life, from chanting mantras and prostrating in a local square to walking the ‘kora’ around a temple or sacred site. China wishes to control and limit Tibetan Buddhism in order to weaken Tibetan identity and strengthen its control over Tibet.

Monks and nuns also face restrictions on their practise and China’s military put on shows of force at religious events. Access to important pilgrimage sites is restricted and many sacred lakes and mountains have been dammed and mined without Tibetans' consent.

The name Ushnisha Sitatapatra translates as "The Victorious White Parasol. She is the protector against supernatural phenomena dangers and quelling disasters. Ushnisha Sitatapatra, is her name in Sanskrit, and 'Dug-Kar' is her name in Tibetan.

Her name is composed of 'Sita' (White) and 'atapatra (Parasol or Umbrella). She is known as the White Umbrella Goddess who saves us from all harm. Her parasol symbolizes protection from natural catastrophes, diseases, spirit harm and all forms of misfortune.

Ushnisha Sitatapatra is one of the most complex Vajrayana goddesses. According to the Buddhist text,  Ushnisha Sitatapatra emerged from the Buddha's ushnisha when Buddha was in the heaven.

The Buddha announced her role to "cut asunder completely all malignant demons, to cut asunder all the spells of others, to turn aside all enemies and dangers and hatred." Her benign and beautiful form belies her ferocity as she is a "fierce, terrifying goddess, garlanded by flames, a pulverizer of enemies and demons.

The Victorious White Parasol Goddess - Ushnisha Sitatapatra is one of many powerful female deities. She manifests her power with her thousand heads, arms, and legs. She has eyes on the palms of each of her hands and soles of her feet, and each head has three eyes.

Standing triumphantly within an aureole blazing with the fire of wisdom, the goddess tramples the enemies of spiritual attainment (such as anger, greed and delusion) with her numerous feet. In Ushnisha-Sitatapatra’s primary hands are the white umbrella of protection and the wheel of the Dharma (the Buddha’s teaching). Her other hands brandish various weapons and form a halo around her.

She has one thousand faces, arms and legs; each face has three eyes, and she has one eye in the palm of each hand and the sole of each foot, showing that she watches and protects sentient beings. Her central faces are white (as is her body); her right faces are yellow, the faces at the rear of her body are red, and the left faces green; there is also a "tier" of blue faces at the top of her head.
Her right hands hold wheels of the Dharma (dharmachakra) and her left hands hold arrows; one of her other left hands also holds aloft a white umbrella which also symbolises her protection.

She is venerated in both the Mahayana and Vajrayana traditions. Ushnisha Sitatapatra is a powerful independent Bodhisattva as she was emanated by our Lord Shakyamuni Buddha  from his ushnisha. Whoever practices her mantra will be reborn in Amitābha's pure land as well as gaining protection against supernatural danger and black magic. Ushnisha Sitatapatr is a female counterpart of the thousand-armed form of Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva.
Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva is a Sanskrit word, Avalokiteshvara  Bodhisattva is known as the Bodhisattva of Compassion. Ushnisha Sitatapatra has a thousand eyes that watch over living beings, and a thousand arms that protect and assist them.

She is white in color, because the principal means by which she accomplishes this function is the enlightenment energy of pacification. By Chanting her mantra invokes extremely powerful protection. Ushnisha Sitatapatra is a powerful independent deity as she was emanated by Shakyamuni Buddha from his Ushnisha. Whoever practices her mantra will be reborn in Amitābha's Dewachen pure land.
Ushnisah Sitatapatra Bodhisattva is one of the most complex Vajrayana goddesses.Ushnisah Sitatapatra she emerged from the Buddha ushnisha when he was in the heaven. The Buddha announced her role to cut asunder completely all malignant demons,to cut asunder all the spells of others and to turn aside all enemies and dangers and hatred. Her benign and beautiful form belies her ferocity as she is a 'fierce terrifying goddess, garlanded by flames, a pulverized of enemies and demons or evils spirits.
Ushnisha Sitatapatra has strong and magic power to influence all living creatures with her noble moral. The white umbrella in her hand is one of the eight pieces of treasures which is said can be used to drive away the monsters and bring peace. It is said that anyone who have received the oral transmission or empowerment , a minimum requirement to complete the recitation of her mantra is 100, 000 times.

What do the demons under Ushnisha Sitatapatra feet and its representation?

Demons in the Buddhist sense are the bad qualities within all living beings that hinder our path to Buddhahood, such as greed, hatred, and pride. Buddhists have compassion for all beings, even the demons, who must be subdued and brought back into the fold.
Every being in the universe will eventually attain enlightenment, including the most evil. For all Buddhists, there is no ultimate evil, only delusions represented by demons, who need to be guided back on the Buddhist path. Representations of demons also assist in the meditation on one’s own inner demons that need subduing. The meditator seeks to become like the deity and subdue these inner demons.
Ushnisha Sitatapatra manifests in many elaborate forms, the most commonly manifestation of having a thousand faces, arms and legs or simply as a feminine deity or goddess of great beauty. She us known foremost for her "White Umbrella or White Parasol". She is most frequently attributed with the golden wheel. The auspiciousness of the turning of the precious wheel is symbolic of the Buddha's doctrine, both in its teachings and realization.

Shakyamurni Buddha Day Coinciding with Partial Solar Eclipse

Tadyata Om Muni Muni Maha Muniye Soha
September 13, 2015 is the new moon day and it’s the Shakyamurni Buddha day according to the Tibetan calendar. On this day, the auspicious Buddha day is coinciding with a natural phenomenon as follows:-
  1. Shakyamurni Buddha new moon Prayer Day.
  2. Partial solar eclipse.
  3. [The maximum eclipse is at 06.55 GMT, with a magnitude of 0.788.It is visible from Southern Africa, Southern Indian ocean and Antarctica]
On this day,  the effects of  positive or negative actions are said to be multiplied by * Hundred million times during Solar and lunar eclipses according to the Vajrayana Buddhism. If you have committed a positive good action, and you will be blessed with the positive Hundred million times of positive Karma actions, but if one has committed the negative actions and it will be multiplied by Hundred million times of bad and negative action.
The power of prayer is well known over centuries and in all different religious beliefs. According to Buddhism, the world in which we live and all that happens to us is a result of our past actions. Past harmful actions create unhappy results and skillful actions create happy results.
Tadyata Om Muni Muni Maha Muniye Soha
One way to purify obstacles we experience due to our past harmful action is through prayers and pujas. A puja is a special ceremony in which prayers are offered to the Buddhas to request their blessings or invoke their help. But most importantly, making prayers and offerings to the enlightened beings, and to the Sangha community generates and increases merit, our positive potential. Merit is needed to have success in all activities.
Shakyamurni Buddha's holy sacred relics.
Pujas are performed to avert and clear the three types of obstacles which arise due to the lack of merit, which prevent us from achieving our worldly and spiritual goals. Removing these obstacles will help us to achieve happiness and good fortune in all our activities.

How to request a Puja
While some prayers are of universal benefit, there are others that help with specific problems. It is always advisable to ask a lama or other knowledgeable person for advice on what puja is suitable for one's specific situation or problem.

There are three types of obstacles:
  1. Affecting our  day to day life, relationships, business, and finances.
  2. Affecting mental and physical health in the form of strong emotions, confusion, and associated physical problems.
  3. Obstructing the attainment of wisdom, experienced as difficulties in Dharma practice.
Pujas can be performed for various purposes:
  1. To help pacify their mind, and decrease fear during the time of death.
  2. To bless and guide their mind to a higher state of rebirth and liberation.
  3. To remove obstacles to mental and physical health.
  4. To remove obstacles to success in all activities, be they worldly or spiritual.

A natural divine

Flower a gift from the universe, many people who always regarded it just for pleasing their eyes or simply they don't appreciate it very much. Me too, a person who don't really treasure flowers as a gift from the universe, to me, it's just for decoration, functions, rituals or for the sick and dead ceremonies.
Why I had changed my perceptions lately? I am sometimes, some kind of stressed that relates to my works and perhaps life, and all this will create obstacles to the daily spiritual and well beings.
I turn my focus towards to a natural divine assistance to eradicate emotion disturbances. A beautiful flower by its natural beauty has its divine power to heal and nurture oneself, not because of it sweet and sticky fragrance, but rather it beauty that matter most.
By looking or focusing on it and you may experience your disturbing thoughts or will simultaneously have vanished and within that short moments of times I can be free from my stress, free from my anxiety and my spirits have been blessed and a magical message has been transmitted to me.
A beautiful flower will someday be fading away and no matter how much good and bad you are conquering now and one day, all will soon be gone and faded like a flower itself.
With your continuing support to read my blog , it helps to spread the Dharma knowledge and as well turning the Dharma wheel to the world.
Dedication of merits
May those who read and sharing of this blog's information be peaceful and joyful. May the Buddha Dharma be flourished and the merits will be dedicated to the sentient beings
