Ushnishavijaya Dharani in Sanskrit/梵文佛頂尊勝陀羅尼經

The benefits of reciting the Ushnishavijaya Dharani / 梵文佛頂尊勝陀羅尼經,不空譯版

The purpose of this sutra is said to be to help sentient beings in a troubled and tumultuous world. According to this sutra, beings will leave suffering and obtain happiness, increasing in their prosperity and longevity, remove karmic obstacles, eliminate disasters and calamities, remove enmity and hatred, fulfill all wishes, and quickly be led into the Buddha's way.

It is held by some that when the Dharani is heard, it can imbue the Alaya consciousness with pure seeds that will help to lead one to Buddhahood. This mantra is also linked to Green Tara.

According to the text, major applications of this Dharaṇi include:

1) Destroy calamities and rescue those in difficulties

2) Eliminate offenses and create good deeds

3) Purify all karmic obstructions

4) Increase blessings and lengthen lifespan

5) Attain anuttara-samyak-saṃbodhi

6) Relieve beings in the ghost realm

7) Benefit birds, animals and all crawling creatures

8) Increase wisdom

9) Revert the fixed karma

10) Eliminate various illness

11) Ensure the safety of the households, and having children to inherit the family pride

12) Harmonise husbands and wives

13) Be able to reborn in Sukhavati or other pure lands

14) Heal sickness inflicted by pretas

15) Request for rain

16) Destroy hells

If someone hears this Dharani even just for a moment, he will not undergo karmic retribution from evil karma and severe hindrances accumulated from thousands of kalpas ago, that would otherwise cause him to revolve in the cycles of birth and death - in all kinds of life forms in the evil paths.

Hell, hungry ghost, animal, realm of King Yama, Asuras, ferocious animals, crawling creatures and even ants and other life forms...he will be reborn in the Buddhalands, together with all the Buddhas and Ekajati-pratibadda Bodhisattvas, or in a distinguished Brahmin or Ksatriya family, or in some other wealthy and reputable families.

As you sow, so shall you reap.

Every drop of water helps to swell the ocean
Every good and bad action will not go unnoticed
As you sow, so shall you reap.  Your deeds, good or bad, will repay you in kind.

Days slip into weeks, weeks turn into months and months transform into years. Calendars are changing and so am I and you too.

If a person is spreading happiness through charity, good work, being kind and sympathetic toward others, it means he/she is sowing the seeds of happiness that will produce the fruits of happiness in present of future”.

Our life is nothing else but it is just like an agricultural soil; if we want better crop from this soil than we must sow the good seeds in it; because quality and quantity of the crop is completely depends upon the quality and quantity of seeds we have sown.

Law of the Karma stipulates
• The consequences are always depends upon the action.
• Our present always makes or helps to make our future.
• We are the only person in this world; responsible for the effects of our actions.

But many a times it happens; If we do good towards others, even if it doesn’t yield the proper result immediately; it does not mean it has gone in vain; we can certainly expect goodness out of it in the future.

It’s never too late to turn it all around. Be honest with yourself and others. When you are kind to others, it not only changes you, it changes the world. Forgive those who have harmed you consciously and intentionally.

Forgiveness does not change the past, but at least it can shape the future. We have to change. We are doing what make us happy. After all, we are responsible for our own happiness because we owe it to ourselves.

New Year Aspirations - Aptitude

Yes, I am changing. * I am doing what makes me happy. After all, I am responsible for my happiness. And I owe it to me.*

Days slip into weeks, weeks turn into months and transform into years. Calendars are changing and so am I and you as well.

Today is January 04, 2018. I am sharing a message from one my Lama teacher to you as a courtesy reminder for everybody including myself. Life is valuable and it accelerates towards its end always.

None of us knows when the most recent day of our expedition in this magnificent world will be. Vulnerability is dependably with us each minute, yet we go about as though we will live eternally.

In the event that we mull over profoundly about our lives, we may comprehend that our existence is fragile and destructible. It is momentary and impermanent, and this is the main right set of circumstances for us to be grateful and appreciative.

Changing ourselves into better people as we live. As for an individual, we conceived with imperfection. The capacity to take a shot at our defects and enhance ourselves is an interesting and unique nature of the human life.

Nonetheless, a large number of us turn out to be excessively focused when we uncover our flaws when dealing with an undesirable circumstance. We shed tears  and discouraged.
We overlook that the way toward gaining from fault and idealizing ourselves is the texture of existence. In this way, remind ourselves to cultivate the teaching of the Buddha without much theatrical work. Regardless of whether we will have a charming New Year or not relies upon how we think and how we manage our lives.

With respect to myself, I am not anticipating  a smooth year, but rather I seek to have better aptitudes to withstand the effects of a hostile situation and carry on with my life completely notwithstanding when I am stuck with adversities.

Being cared for ourselves is the way to joy. At that point cautiously it will extend onto others as well. So my aspire for each of you is to respect yourself and others. You are all-important to many individuals on every side of you.
We are delighted that you are finding our blog useful. Please consider showing your support.

The Verses of The Eight Noble Auspicious Ones 西藏吉祥八宝經文

The Verses of the Eight Noble Auspicious Ones 西藏吉祥八宝經文
By Mipham Rinpoche

It is very important to recite this through once before starting on any activity; whatever the project, it will work out exactly as you wish.

“Recite this prayer when you wake up, and you will accomplish all your aims for the day. Recite it when you go to sleep, and you will have good dreams. Recite it before a conflict, and you will be completely victorious. Recite it when you embark on any project, and you will be successful.

If you recite this prayer every day, the length of your life, your splendor, renown, and wealth will all increase, you will find perfect happiness, you will accomplish your aims exactly as you wish, all harmful actions and obscurations will be purified and all your wishes for higher realms, liberation and omniscience will be fulfilled.” These are the words of the Buddha himself.

The Eight Auspicious Symbols of Vajrayana Buddhism 西藏金剛佛教的吉祥八宝象徵
The Eight Auspicious Symbols are one of the most common yet very popular in the Tibetan Buddhism and culture for over thousands of years.

Eight Auspicious Symbols in the Sanskrit word is  "Ashtamangala". In the Tibetan language is known as "Tashee-tag-gyay" The Eight Auspicious Symbols of Buddhism is a genre of Buddhist symbolism. The symbols derive from Indian iconography and have become especially popular in Tibetan Buddhism.

The Eight Auspicious Symbols are traditionally offered to Lama, teachers during long life ceremonies and are used in various forms of ritual art. It is believed that each of the Tibetan symbols represents one aspect of the Buddha’s teachings and when appearing all together their powers are multiplied.
In this fascinating study, the Eight Auspicious Symbols are as follows:-
1. Right-Coiled White Conch Shell
2. Precious Parasol
3. Victory Banner
4. Golden Fishes
5. Dharma Wheel
6. Endless Knot
7. Lotus Flower
8. Treasure Vase

These eight symbols of good fortune represent the offerings made by the gods, and Brahma to Shakyamuni Buddha immediately after he attained enlightenment.
Legend has it, the Heavenly Brahma, the Four Faced god was the first to appear with an offering of a thousand-spoked golden wheel, requesting Buddha Shakyamuni to turn the teaching of the Dharma wheel to benefit all beings.

The great Indra god appeared next and presented with a white right-spiraling conch shell as a symbol of the proclamation of the Dharma. Following appeared next was the goddess of mother earth Sthavara who had borne witness to the Buddha's enlightenment, presented with a golden vase full of the nectar of
immortality.

For details of The Eight Auspicious Symbols, please refer to my article that had posted at the following:

Confronting challenges make you strong and resilient

Confronting challenges make you strong and resilient
It is difficult to in a world of increasing challenges. The world becomes more complex and changes rapidly. Sometimes it's not easy to stay calm.

Challenges and difficulties are a part of day-to-day existence. They make us stronger and without them life becomes some degree of trivial because we don't have anything to contrast the greater circumstances with.

These challenges and difficulties come in many structures. For a few, the challenge is doing admirably at school, for others it is getting to grip with financial worries. But, paying little respect to the challenge, looking up to it is critical.

Doing as such will influence you to feel like you can manage yourself, it will likewise influence you to comprehend the value of what you have now. Looking up to challenges and living through them gives us the experiences that make up our lives.
Everyone experiences times when their lives appear to be enormously unpleasant, or their issues unconquerable. In any case, it's critical take into consideration that, whatever the issue, there is practically often an answer. Confronting challenges in an approach to drive ourselves and see what we are capable of.

Correspondingly, when we think again about intense circumstances, we can be satisfied for how we managed the challenge and counseled ourselves that life improves and challenges don't seem to be generally offensive or dreadful.
Preside over your challenges conventionally.
Keeping tranquil under apprehensiveness. When a situation begins to appear, you feel your emotions are furious and don't lose control. Calm down rather than escape resentfully because you can't handle it.

When you are never again impulsive and overreacting, you have greater opportunity to measure your decisions and find the most intelligent path forward.
In the heart of 10, it looks trite, but it works. Pause, take a deep breath and think carefully before you react emotionally to something.

Composing your thoughts in a journal can help you clear things up and keep you calm. If you need to settle on an important decision, or you feel sad about something, keep your emotions in words, and then read and reflect.

Challenging yourself to achieve better on a test, run faster in a race or gain some new useful knowledge can be very amusing! Why not give yourself a fun challenge today? For what reason not give yourself a fun challenge today?

The Living Journal - What lies ahead?

You never know which footstep will bring a good twist in life,
So keep on walking and have reflection daily,
Happiness comes when it is most unexpected,
Such is reality and the reflection is valuable,
Try not to hold up until the point,
That you are encountering a hardship to comprehend your spiritual nature.

In the face of so much suffering, of problems that appear to be difficult to explain, it is easy to despair.  To consume ourselves with rage and frustration, or to escape into all the distractions and false comforts on offer.  All of these reactions serve only to reinforce our anger, frustration and fear, which in turn creates more reactivity, in ourselves and in the people we interact with.

Aware of the suffering brought about when we impose our views on others, we are determined not to constrain others, even our children, by any means whatsoever — such as authority, threat, money, propaganda, or indoctrination — to embrace our perspectives.
We are committed to respecting the right of others to be different, to choose what to believe and how to decide. We will, however, learn to help others let go of and transform narrowness through loving speech and compassionate dialogue. Reaching our goals has never been easier; that is why we need Dharma and others by our side. We are all having so many explanations and definitions of what happiness is and what it means to all of us.

It doesn't matter what come to us; the challenges, crossroads, and lifestyle changes you come across in your life, at the end of the day, your happiness is what truly matters most. Whether you’re single or in a relationship, a single parent with children, you are having a busy work life or whatever the circumstances are, it’s important to know how to be happy.
When you know what makes you truly happy, practice self-love first, take care of yourself and step out of your comfort zone, you will be able to see how powerful being self-happy alone can be. If you don’t know what is going to make you happy, how can you expect someone else to? You need to know and experience what real love and happiness is like by yourself before you commit to loving someone else.

It might be scary at first, but here are some ideas that can help you to feel more positive about being negative. Get to know yourself by spending some time alone in solitude. Do something that will help you relax and focus on your mind, body and soul.
Have a reflection of what make you happy and what is not, contemplate it and letting go what holding you so negatively, so tightening up yourself, and visualize a smiling face of the Buddha, Arya Taras , your love ones, embrace it and merge with these positive smiling faces and stay with it.  Try to do the reflections regularly, It helps us all loosening up ourselves and stay positively and transform suffering into compassion and a positive way of life.
Do you earnestly cherish our devoted work? Assuming this is the case, would you consider making a donation for our Buddhist research and development. We need you to help secure the future of scholarly interaction with Buddhism.

Your generosity will certainly help us improve our works and to achieve for a better and brighter prospect to come.
