On March 17, His Holiness the 17th Karmapa, Ogyen Trinley Dorje, will begin a limited US tour that will see him visiting at six universities: Stanford, University of Redlands, Harvard, Princeton, Yale, and University of Wisconsin-Madison. He will also visit Mount Laurel, New Jersey; New York City; Kingston, New York; and Seattle, Washington. This will be His Holiness’s third visit to the States.

the Karmapa stated that he will receive a Chubb Fellowship—one of Yale’s
highest honors for visiting lecturers, previously held by Aung San Suu Kyi,
Morgan Freeman, and George H. W. Bush. The Karmapa will also receive an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters from University of
Redlands
