Today Is January 29, 2015 and it is the 10th day of the lunar month and it is also known as the Guru Rinpoche day. There are two important lunar days which is 10th and 25th of every month. According to the Vajrayana Buddhism , we must offer "Tsok" purification practised especially on the 10th and 25th days of the Tibetan month. The Meaning of Tsok is a methods for gathering the accumulations of merits and wisdom.
Vajrayana features countless skilful and powerful methods which, if they are practised in the proper way, can make the process of accumulation and purification incredibly swift and direct. One such method is the practice of tsok, which is primarily a practice of offering. It is not just a practice of offering however; it is also a powerful method for purifying our Samaya.
The main benefit of tsok practice mentioned in the tantras is the accumulation of merit with conceptual focus as well as the accumulation of wisdom beyond focus. There could be no greater benefit than thisFor example, it is said that Guru Rinpoche himself will come and bless the tsok practitioners, or that the place where tsok is performed will become exactly the same as the Paradise of Guru Rinpoche.

Samye Ling Monastery Scotland UK Part 7 -The temple of the fine arch

At noon we had finally arrived at the Samye Ling Monastery and this is the entrance of the Monastery and you can see the  Majestic and beautiful Tibetan structure, which i called it  "the temple of the fine arch"  is standing tall and welcoming you to the holy place of Scotland UK. This "temple of the fine arch" has been modified in recent years and there are four heavenly guardian deities images had been printed on the 4 pillars. In the Buddhist faiths, be it a Mahayana or a Vajrayana schools,  there are four heavenly deities guardian and each of whom watches over one cardinal direction of the world.
The temperature was rather icy and chilly cold. It was extremely freezing cold weather partly due to the strong wind and until I had the difficulty to put on my winter clothes. The holy lake is completely frozen and while the danger from winter varies across the country, depending on how severe the condition is.
This is Samye Ling Monastery and we arrived late afternoon and the vegetarian lunch was over. Due to heavily rain and there are not many visitors today. The main shrine was conducting the Mahakala Prayer and it is scheduled at 1.30pm - 3.00pm. We restrained our self for taking any photos when the monks and nuns and others are conducting the afternoon prayers.
For your information, Mahakala prayers is usually conducted at the afternoon or before the end of the day. For more information of Mahakala the Karma Kagyu lineage Dharma protector , you may please refers my search box  for "mahakala" and it will lead you to more information of this powerful and wrathful Dharma protector.

Visiting Tibetan Monastery In Scotland UK Part 6

At 6.00am we left Dumfries and Galloway Hotel of Scotland and continues our journey to Samye Ling Monastery which located at the Eskdalemuir near Langholm further of Dumfries and Galloway.
During our journey we have spotted with many wildlife along the countryside. We pulled over our vehicle and to meet the friendly animals celebrities - the little horses.Today there are many vehicles along the hillside, some are Asian and Caucasian and I took the opportunity to approached some of the people and they too are heading to the Samye Ling Monastery  and to attend the Guru Rinpoche grand puja and empowerment. They will be visiting the Holy island for a day trip. I am very much regretted and each time I had failed and never have an opportunity to visit the beautiful Holy island of Scotland UK. I don't have much information of this island and you need to get there as early as possible and to return by ferryboat before the end of the day. I do hope my next Scotland visit and will be able to make my Holy island dream to come true.

You can see there are many wild deers roaming freely out there and we must thank the local Scotland wildlife conservation program efforts to protect this animal's habitat and as well free from poaching.
This is another beautiful scene along the countryside and  I just fell in love with this little very beautiful traditional Scottish cottage house. Just take a look at the surrounding mountains and the breathtaking serenity environment. We must work hard to save some money to travel to the places that we never been before and our life is so impermanent and fragile and changing in every second.

Visiting Tibetan Monastery in Scotland UK Part 5 Dumfries and Galloway

We spent a day at the beautiful Dumfries and Galloway town and it was so so so freezing cold and weather nearly 1°c -3°c and we just want to get into the Hotel and have a hot shower and a warm dinner and some coffee for the day.
In Dumfries and Galloway and we visited  the castles and historic spots to learn more of days gone by, while taking in the breathtaking views. Discover coastal communities, the highest village in Britain and towns dedicated to food, books and art.
We do not take part of the fishing, catch and release activity (against the Buddha teachings) as Dumfries and Galloway offers an excellent choice of angling for it famous Salmon fish and it offers a wide range of quality game angling at reasonable cost. Its rivers drain into the Sol way Firth and provide excellent sport for game anglers.

Flooding is one of the serious problem of the Dumfries and Galloway is facing after the river of Nith bursts it bank in Dumfries. When the River Nith overflowed onto the nearby road, prompting the closure of the White sands in Dumfries with a number of businesses affected.
The Esk  is a river in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland, that flows into the Sol way Firth. It also flows for a small way through the English countyof Cumbria before entering the Sol way.
The river rises in the hills to the east of Moffat and its two main tributaries, the Black Esk and the White Esk, merge at the southern end of Castle O'er Forest. It flows south east through Eskdale past Langholm before merging with Liddel Water (which defines the border between Scotland and England. Before passing Long town the river enters England and merges with the River Lyne and enters the Sol way Firth near the mouth of the River Eden.

Visiting Tibetan Monastery Scotland UK Part 3 ( Loch Ness monster river )

Samye Ling Monastery is a holy place that I am always called it a "little Tibetan Plateau of the west"  Since it is remotely located at the countryside and you must equip yourself with the GPS guide and perhaps invite some local friends to join with you, otherwise you will be ended up to no where but in the middle of the jungles or unknown countryside.
Sometime the GPS failed to pinpoint you to a correct location and what scary thing is, you will hardly see many vehicle along the countryside. We rent a  jeep wrangler and drove by my Scottish friends and somehow lost their way in the middle of the woods and it was totally quiet, sound so adventures, but with many laughter and indeed what a challenging journey to the west.
Most people will ask, why Scotland? what Scotland can offer you when you are there and what can you get most of it when visiting Scotland soil?
Loch Ness monster ! Rather a legendary of a Monster Loch Ness that properly has become the most well-known and famous icon of Scotland UK. I was fascinated too, but not my Scottish friends. Since we were on the way to the countryside of the Scotland and we will pass by the most notorious place call the Loch Ness monster river.
Loch Ness is a large, deep, freshwater loch in the Scottish Highlands extending for approximately 23 miles southwest of Inverness. Its surface is 52 ft above sea level. Loch Ness is the largest lake in Scotland by volume. The surrounding area is filled with historic attractions, natural wonders, cozy places to stay, and superb eateries. The Loch Ness Monster is just one of the many myths and legends to be discovered in this particularly beautiful part of Scotland.
Loch Ness is full of surprises! You can sit back and enjoy the landscape, explore the history of the area, visit the charming towns and villages like Fort Augustus, Foyers, Cannich, and Drumnadrochit, or just relax and enjoy the great outdoors. Take a leisurely walk along the shore or a bigger challenge.

Vitising Tibetan Monastery Scotland UK Part 1

Samye Ling Monastery  is the Karma Kagyu School located at Eskdalemuir near Langholm, Dumfries and Galloway Scotland UK Head Lama is Lama Yeshe Losal Rinpoche and he was restored for his demised Brother Akong Rinpoche, who was murdered in Chengdu China October 08, 2013.

Akong Tulku Rinpoche was a tulku in the Kagyu school of Tibetan Buddhism and He introduced Western people to Tibetan religion and culture in 1967 and was one of the founder of the Samye Ling Monastery in Scotland UK. On 8 October 2013, Akong Tulku Rinpoche had been killed in Chengdu China, along with two other monks, including Rinpoche's nephew, and his driver.
The police said that three Tibetan men had been arrested and admitted carrying out the killings. The Samye-Ling website subsequently said that the killers had intended to rob Akong Rinpoche of funds which were being distributed to various projects supported by the charity, Rokpa International, for which he was responsible.

It was also announced on 11 October 2013 that his body was being taken to the Tibetan Autonomous Region, to his monastery (Dolma Lhakang), for a ceremony . one of the suspected killers had been named by Chengdu police as Tu Dan Gu Sha, also known as Thubten Kunsai.

It was my 2nd visits Samye Ling Monastery and I had met the late Akong Rinpoche for the first time, but only spent a very brief moments with him. I still can remember the late Akong Rinpoche was a very friendly and he loved to smiles to people, but sadly it was my first and also the last time I met him, and I had introduced and met up with Lama Yeshe Rinpoche, His Ven. Lama Yeshe Rinpoche is a very friendly and compassionate monk , He gave me some advice how to dealing with obstacles in life the very first time I met him in the Scotland soil.
I had been introduced to the suspect Thubten Kunsai , a traditional Tibetan artist and he was building a new giant Tara statue project at the main entrance of the car parks of the Monastery. Why I still can remember the suspect  dated back to 2007? Because he was teasing me that we both were having the same first Tibetan name "Thubten"
