Did You Finish Your On line Purchase-The Heart Is Noble?

USD $ 16.96
Did you finish your Amazon.com on line purchase for His Holiness one of His best ever Dynamic book " The Heart Is Noble " ?

This book presents a Buddhist perspective on a number of current topics such as the environment, conflict resolution, relationships and gender identity. It is clearly written and understandable to both Buddhists and non-Buddhists alike and would be a good introduction to readers new to Buddhist thought.

His Holiness the 17th Karmapa is young yet wise beyond his 20 something years and just like He is filled with thousand  years of wisdom beyond our human capabilities. His Holiness with His gentle humor and deep insight, I highly recommend this to anyone who is interested in a peaceful approach to current world problems and issues.

Below are the reviewed by renowned authors:-

“The teachings in this book are tools for clearing away everything that keeps us from recognizing and connecting with our own noble heart, and for opening that heart to others in the most radical way. I am most grateful to His Holiness the Karmapa for offering these transformative teachings, and I recommend this book to everyone who wants to change the world, beginning with themselves.”—Pema Chödrön, author of Living Beautifully

“In The Heart Is Noble the Seventeenth Karmapa shares his deep wisdom and compassion as a lens on topics ranging from global hunger to healthy relationships and to the meaning of life. His message shows how we can each be heroes in daily life in ways large and small, and that bringing a noble heart to whatever we encounter enriches everyone.”—Daniel Goleman, author of Emotional Intelligence.

Here are some of the dynamic content based on this book, and if you are interested to have a copy, you may purchase on line via my blog' s advertisement Amazon.com banner link
while stock are still available.

If you are inspired to take up his challenge, the Karmapa offers a path for participating in a global community that is based on compassion. In these chapters, he shares his vision for bringing social action into daily life, on a scale we can realistically manage through the choices we make every day—what to buy, what to eat, and how to relate honestly and bravely with our friends and family and coworkers. His fresh and encouraging perspective shows us that we have the strength to live with kindness in the midst of the many challenges we face as socially and environmentally conscious beings. Because he sees the world through the lens of the interdependence of all beings, he sees that humans can change social and environmental problems by changing their attitudes and actions. And so, he shows ways that we can change our world by changing ourselves—by examining our own habits of consumption and by being willing to look into how our food reaches our table and how the products we buy are made. In his chapter on gender, he points out that we don’t have to label others according to a social construct.

Should You Celebrate The Chinese and Tibetan New Year ?

Should you celebrate the Chinese new year or Tibetan Losar new year or other festival ? Have you ever asked yourself this question?  What comes to mind when you think of new year?  Do you picture a time of thankfulness toward your faiths or is it merely one of the partying  time or watching movies, go shopping, having an expensive lunch at the five stars hotel ? Reunions for "Yum Seng" or banquet with all the meats? Do you think about the animals that had been slaughtered just for our celebrations. What does a new year mean to you?
Chinese new year or Tibetan Losar is a time together with family and friends to give thanks for the many blessings enjoyed by these nations and their citizens. However, to many people, its meaning is lost. It has become simply another day for huge meals, dinner parties, get-together or reunions.
This picture looks as simple as an ordinary secluded suburban, this suburban called the old Airport Subang Selangor in Malaysia, Today is the first day of the Chinese new year February 19, 2015. Hot and humid and looks like another promising sunny day. Its vast beautiful serenity with plenty of green lungs especially the coconut trees.
This is Ci Hang - Chempaka welfare Associations, is a registered welfare organization providing services to the poor, abandoned, aged, physically challenged individuals, and those who are being put to the most unfortunate living situations. In line with their mission to serve, the Associations had carried out a series of welfare initiatives such as:-
  •  A home shelter designed for the abandoned old folks and provide their daily needs such as shelter, food, beverages, clothings, medical needs and health care are carefully attended to by maids and a full time nurse. Doctors provide health checks and care fortnightly.
  • Provides free treatments to the deserving patients Physiotherapy & Stroke Rehabilitation Centre.

  • Financial Assistance to the Poor Individuals and Families are being provided to the qualified poor individuals or families. The financial assistance are being provided in the forms of monthly grants, provision of food and sundries.
  • Free Tuition Classes to provides free tuition classes to selected poor students, enabling them to progress through their educational process and self-development for a better future.

This is our Chinese and Losar new year old folks home visit program during the festive season with some of my Malaysian Buddhist friends. We had been carried out this program for about 6 years without failed.  The program is not about how many donations we gave to the Associations ,how much groceries or necessities we donated. Most importantly is to comfort and care for their wellbeing, Spend some time to listen to them as they are very old, and lonely. These senior and aged adults too are equally deserved our loves and thoughts and not limited on materials wealth only.
Chinese new year and Tibetan Losar new year come with many splendors things and comes with many different ways of celebration. New Year is the Blessed season which engages the whole world in a conspiracy of love and most importantly with the messages of love , peace, sharing, forgiveness, passion of giving and reaching out to give our care and love and reaching out to give your care and to give comfort and inspiration to someone who is less fortunate and miserable during this season of love. Compassion and unconditional love are the universal messages of all religions and faiths.

Happy Chinese New Year and Tibetan Losar New Year 新年快樂

This is the Wood Sheep year 2142 according to the Tibetan calendar and it is also known as Losar, Tibetan new year is the most important festival in the Tibetan calendar and to last 15 days. The Tibetan calendar consists of 12 (or 13) lunar months, and Losar begins on the first day of the Tibetan year. The Tibetan calendar is almost identical to the Chinese calendar.
The last day of the preceding year is a day to prepare for the coming New Year. The monasteries are all decked up in the finest decorations and a blessing Ceremony is performed on the first day of Losar. Homes are freshly painted, families dress up in new clothes, good food and special dishes are cooked and there is a wonderful air of expectation of what the New Year holds.
It is also regarded as the year of the sheep or the goat. Regardless of whichever name you prefer, the animal represents the eighth sign in the 12 cycles of the Chinese Zodiac. The goat is also regarded as an auspicious animal that delivers a year of promise and prosperity. Those that are born on the year of the goat are said to possess a lot of peaceful traits. Goats are kind, helpful, and trusting, but also resistant to change.
Be sure to wish your friends, family, loved ones, coworkers, and even business partners on this special Chinese and Tibetan New Year of the Sheep. I would like to take this opportunity to wish all my Chinese and Tibetan friends and readers a very prosperous, joyful, good luck and great success in the coming New Year.
我誠摯的新年祝福,順祝身體健康願新年為您帶來新年快樂,友愛和寧靜 祝來年好運,並取得更大的成就
( Please pardon me if the Chinese greeting words are inappropriately misspelled).

Mahakala Gutor Prayers Update

Today I am updating the annual Mahakala Gutor prayers and its ritual ceremony. As mentioned earlier, before the Tibetan New Year Losar, Kagyu monasteries around the world , including Malaysia will be engaged in couple of days of protector practice, focused mainly on Mahakala and his retinue.
In Tibetan language Gutor, "Gu" mean 9 "tor" mean offerings. This is the wrapping and purification of sickness, obstacles, dispelling of enemies which  will be practiced annually.
Given offerings and praise, they are requested to guard the teachings, protect the sangha, and keep the world safe from obstacles and whatever is inauspicious, such as wars, sickness, and the disturbances of the four elements. Eliminating all of these is the responsibility of Mahakala, who is the main protector for the Kagyu teachings.
Gutor is very important for reversing bad omens, particularly for people whose birth year corresponds to the coming year. Their life is in critical danger and they may face major obstacles in the foregoing year.

Therefore the reversing practices have to be done to remove those impending obstacles. There will be a lot of strong reversing mantras recited and accumulated during Gutor, as well as subjugation implements that will have to be used.
High level of of Dharma protectors are an example of Mahakala, He is the well known Dharma protectors and he is the wrathful manifestation of the compassion of Chenrizig (In Tibetan) or Avalokitesvara (In Sanskrit) Kuan Yin (In Chinese)
Bodhisattva.  Mahakala 大黒天 using his power to protect the temples, monasteries, protect the precious Vajrayana teachings and help other dharma practitioners. He is typically black color. Just as all colors are absorbed and dissolved into black, all names and forms are said to melt into those of Mahakala, symbolizing his all-embracing, comprehensive nature.
Boxes are contains of used or worn clothings which is related to your own and your family members. The second box is contains of individuals items , such as few strands of hairs, nails that had put into the red color package bags for reversing and purification.

The reversing practices to be most effective, it is of course best if one can participate directly to connect you to the reversing torma effigy that will be sent out. Rinpoche emphasized that this is especially important if your birth year is that of the Sheep.

Vajrayana features countless skilful and powerful methods which, if they are practised in the proper way, can make the process of accumulation and purification incredibly swift and direct. One such method is the practice of tsok, which is primarily a practice of offering. It is not just a practice of offering however; it is also a powerful method for purifying our Samaya.
