The Wrathful Vajra Manifestation of Guru Rinpoche - Dorje Drolo

Guru Rinpoche Padmasambhava is the first person to introduce Buddhism in Bhutan. Guru Padmasambhava reverently known as Guru Rinpoche flew on a female flying tigress in pursuit of a demon that he subdued at the present location.

The name Taktsang refers to 'Tiger’s liar ' or Tiger's Nest' which is literally believed that Guru Rinpoche flew to this place from Tibet in the back of a tigress. Following which, Guru Rinpoche meditated in a cave and emerged in eight manifestations and blessed the place. It's believed that Guru Padmasambhava have meditated in the Taktsang Senge Samdup cave for three years, three months, three weeks, three days and three hours.

*Dorje Drolo the wild wrathful Vajra  is one of the most fearsome Manifestation forms of Guru Rinpoche. Guru Rinpoche in a wrathful form riding upon a tigress. He assumed this manifestation in Paro Taktsang in Bhutan in order to bring the local deities and guardians under his control.
Guru Rinpoche manifested in "the wisdom form of a very wrathful and fearsome aspect of Dorje Drolo" that has been known as 'The Wild Wrathful Vajra' binding worldly spirits, demons under oath to protect the Terma treasures and serve the Dharma. Hence, the place is named so Pako Taktsang and 'Tiger’s Nest' or 'Tiger Liars' Monastery in English.

In 1692 where Pako Taktsang was constructed by Gyalse Tenzin Rabgye, the then secular ruler of Bhutan, built a temple to commemorate the holy site. Presently the Monastery is a complex of temples that abounds with paintings, statues and artifacts.
Taktsang is one of the most sacred sites which is a must visit at least once in a lifetime to a Buddhist and for a traveler a must see and visit travel destination for its sheer spectacular site and architectural delight. It is an hour and a half climb uphill through the beautiful natural splendor of Paro Valley.

Taktsang  or the Tiger's Liar or the 'Tiger's Nest' in Paro valley is one of the most visited hotspot tourist attractions in Bhutan. Located around 900 meters above the Paro valley on a precarious almost vertical mountain cliff, Taktsang Monastery is truly a wonderful and spectacular sight in terms of its location, setting and history.
It is one of the holiest sites in the Buddhist arena. In the 8th Century, Buddhist saint and harbinger of Buddhism to Bhutan, Guru Padmasambhava is reverently known as Guru Rinpoche flew on a female flying tigress in pursuit of a demon that he subdued at the present location. Following which, he meditated in a cave and emerged in eight manifestations and blessed the place.

Guru Rinpoche, The Great Medicine Healing Manifestation - Orgyen Menla

Every drop of water helps to swell the ocean
Every good and bad action will not go unnoticed
Words of wisdom by Guru Rinpoche, Padmasambhava

Guru Rinpoche emanates as Orgyen Menla , who appears as a Medicine Buddha. Medicine Buddha ,  especially vowed to eliminate pain and sufferings and diseases from the minds, bodies of all living beings, so He is reserved as the Buddha of Medicine or called the Master of Healing.

Medicine Buddha made twelve vows, that after He achieved Buddha hood, the prayer of all sentient beings would be answered and those who called on Him would be of perfect health and be able to free from diseases, overcome obstacles and to achieve the ultimate goals and inner happiness.
Orgyen Menla is  the Healing master is Guru Padmasambhava appearing in the aspect of Bhaishajyaguru (Medicine Buddha). Therefore, the practice of Orgyen Menla combines the blessings of Guru Rinpoche and Medicine Buddha to accomplish the healing of body, mind and emotions.
As Guru Rinpoche has prophesied that in the dark age of degeneration, 3/4 of the world will be emptied by black epidemics. In the 7th century, Guru Rinpoche prophesied that many epidemics like the SARS and bird flu, etc. will occur and right now we are affected by diseases such as; the Nipah virus, H1N1 , Ebola or more deadly and mysterious diseases and or undiscovered infections.

We never know what kind of new diseases will come next. Hence, to save from all these kind of diseases that will come next and to save from all these kind of disease and misery we should have devoted to Guru Rinpoche Padmasambhava or his great manifestation of Orgyen Menla   (Guru Rinpoche Medicine Buddha) with confidence that can help and save us as Guru Rinpoche who is the protector to the helpless beings
The practice of Orgyen Menla is particularly effective for pacifying epidemics, other sicknesses, suffering and negative influences. It is also beneficial for longevity and wisdom. The destructive forces of the imbalance of the four elements are overcome by accomplishing Ogyen Menla. This is possible because the Medicine Buddha (Healing Buddha) is no different from the Guru, and Guru is no different from the primordial purity and perfection of one's own awareness.

All internal, external and secret obstacles and diseases are the results of one's own confused state of existence. Praying, meditating and reciting the mantra of Orgyen Menla not only cure diseases and suffering on a relative level, but also lead to the realization of ultimate wisdom. Thus we can completely go beyond suffering.
Orgyen Menla as a meditation-deity is revealed only in the later termas (later revelations) and this makes it all the more effective and powerful in practice.

The Art of Happiness - By His Holiness The 14th Dalai Lama

Description

Blending common sense and modern psychiatry, The Art of Happiness in a Troubled World applies Buddhist tradition to twenty-first-century struggles in a relevant way. The result is a wise approach to dealing with human problems that is both optimistic and realistic, even in the most challenging times.

How can we expect to find happiness and meaning in our lives when the modern world seems such an unhappy place?

His Holiness the Dalai Lama has suffered enormously throughout his life, yet he always seems to be smiling and serene. How does he do it? In The Art of Happiness in a Troubled World, Dr. Cutler walks readers through the Dalai Lama's philosophy on how to achieve peace of mind and come to terms with life's inherent suffering.

Together, the two examine the roots of many of the problems facing the world and show us how we can approach these calamities in a way that alleviates suffering, and helps us along in our personal quests to be happy. Through stories, meditations, and in-depth conversations, the Dalai Lama teaches readers to identify the cultural influences and ways of thinking that lead to personal unhappiness, making sense of the hardships we face personally, as well as the afflictions suffered by others.
Nearly every time you see him, he's laughing, or at least smiling. And he makes everyone else around him feel like smiling. He's the Dalai Lama, the spiritual and temporal leader of Tibet, a Nobel Prize winner, and a hugely sought-after speaker and statesman. Why is he so popular? Even after spending only a few minutes in his presence you can't help feeling happier.

If you ask him if he's happy, even though he's suffered the loss of his country, the Dalai Lama will give you an unconditional yes. What's more, he'll tell you that happiness is the purpose of life, and that the very motion of our life is toward happiness. How to get there has always been the question. He's tried to answer it before, but he's never had the help of a psychiatrist to get the message across in a context we can easily understand.
The Art of Happiness is the book that started the genre of happiness books, and it remains the cornerstone of the field of positive psychology.

Through conversations, stories, and meditations, the Dalai Lama shows us how to defeat day-to-day anxiety, insecurity, anger, and discouragement. His Holiness explores many facets of everyday life, including relationships, loss, and the pursuit of wealth, to illustrate how to ride through life's obstacles on a deep and abiding source of inner peace.

Based on 2,500 years of Buddhist meditations mixed with a healthy dose of common sense, The Art of Happiness is a book that crosses the boundaries of traditions to help readers with difficulties common to all human beings. After being in print for ten years, this book has touched countless lives and uplifted spirits around the world.

Guru Rinpoche Great Manifestation of Wealth Deity - Lama Orgyen Khandro Norlha

Every drop of water helps to swell the ocean
Every good and bad action will not goes unnoticed

Do you earnestly cherish our devoted work? Assuming this is the case, would you consider making a donation for our Buddhist research and development. We need you to help secure the future of scholarly interaction with Buddhism.

Your generosity will certainly help us improve our works and to achieve for a better and brighter prospect to come.

In order to benefit sentient beings, Guru Rinpoche manifested into different forms to liberate them from Samaras. One of the manifestations is Lama Orgyen Norlha, the Guru of all Dzambhalas.

Guru Rinpoche, manifested into a single form which is the present practice of generosity as indicated by the mongoose on the left hand of spitting out the jewels, in his right hand the supreme wish-granting jewels and under his left arm a victory banner held spending aloft.

Guru Rinpoche emanates as Lama Orgyen Khandro Norlha who appears as a wealth deity, surrounded by the assembly of wealth gods and goddess. According to the Sadhanas, for the practice of offering the "Serak" who will be dispatched away with all their evil thoughts and negative motivation of harm, along with the effigies.

Those who had received the initiation to recite His mantra will have a strong blessings in the form of good fortune, luck, and longevity, enriching prosperity in Dharma and material wealth and good health.
Guru Dzambhala or Lama Orgyen Khandro Norlha blessings increase the energy of prosperity. It removes the sufferings of poverty. It relieves one's mind and allows practitioners to practice Dharma without worries.
The Lama Orgyen Khandro Norlha practice is especially effective for capturing, restoring and increasing the energy of 'yang' or wealth. Wealth in this sense not only refers to monetary wealth, but to anything that has value in our lives—the richness of vibrant health, nutritious food, clean environments; the prosperity that comes from the creative forces of the universe, the richness of friendship and community, the wealth that comes from inner peace and happiness, as well as material prosperity.

As the world is now may lead into an economic crisis and hardship, the need to strengthen yang and restore lost yang is greater than ever. In this practice, the principal deity is Lama Khandro Orgyen Norlha, aka Orgyen Khandro Norlha, or Guru Dzambhala, who is Guru Rinpoche manifesting as the divine god of wealth surrounded by the assembly of wealth gods and goddesses. Guru Dzambhala, the Guru of all Dzambhala, is the embodiment of the perfect generosity of all Buddhas and bodhisattvas in the past, present and future.
The Origin of Guru Dzambhala or Lama Orgyen KhandroNorlha
During one winter time, when Guru Rinpoche travelled and visited Tibet, the entire people were suffering from poverty. Thrisong Detsen, the King of Tibet, out of compassion requested Guru Rinpoche to do something that could help his people.
Guru Rinpoche miraculously, manifested himself into Lama Orgyen Khandro Norlha and did Ugyen Norlha’s Puja and blessed the whole land. Thereafter the region has never experienced poverty life; People enjoyed and had better living. Before Guru Rinpoche left Tibet, he had hidden the Lama Orgyen Khandro Norlha Yabyum the union one and Lama Orgyen Khandro Norlha's practice text (scripts) in a secret place directing Dakinis and Protector to safeguard it, until Terton (Treasure Revealer)

Live with compassion
Work with compassion
Die with compassion
Meditate with compassion
Enjoy with compassion
When problems come,
Experience them with compassion.
A praise of compassion by H.E Lama Zopa Rinpoche.

Compassion is wanting sentient beings to be free from suffering. So compassion is the definition of the highest scope of motivation. It is said that to generate genuine compassion, one needs to realise that oneself is suffering, that an end to suffering is possible, and that other beings similarly want to be free from suffering.
The Nilakantha Dharani also known as Maha Karuna Dharani. Popularly known as the Great Compassion Mantra in English,  大悲咒 in Chinese. It was spoken by the Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara before an assembly of Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, Devas and Kings, Nagas according to the Mahakarunikacitta Sutra. It is often used for protection or purification.

The Great Compassion Mantra is from Mahakaruna Dharani Sutra of the Thousand-armed and Thousand-eyed Avalokitesvaraya. It is an important mantra of this almighty Bodhisattva. It is believed that recitation of the Great Compassion Mantra can purify our bad karma and help us reach the Pure Land. With constant recitation of this mantra, one can reap ten great benefits and harvest fifteen kinds of good birth, while staying away from the fifteen kinds of bad deaths. Moreover, this mantra has the unbelievable power to fulfill every wish and cure 840,000 diseases.
Thousand-armed and Thousand eyed form of Avalokitesvara, which is an important esoteric Buddhism form of Avalokitesvara. The legend of how he received a thousand arms and eyes even represents his compassion for others.  Vowing to help those in need whenever he hears their cries and sees their sorrows, because of this he is sometimes depicted with over a thousand arms and eyes.

The Great Compassion Mantra is an extremely powerful spell because it contains not only the sacred name of Avalokiteshvara, but also the various embodiments, wisdom, capacities and merits of this Bodhisattva and other enlightened beings. When this mantra is recited, you are connected to Buddhahood through your voice. You do not have to understand the content of this mantra; reciting the Sanskrit version alone will create remarkable merit.
Before recitation, we must possess the determination to follow the example of Avalokiteshvara of One Thousand Arms and One Thousand Eyes. "Thousand" has the connotation of boundlessness; keeping Avalokiteshvara's boundless compassion in mind, we must make a wish to see the suffering of all sentient beings with his one thousand eyes, and to release them from their pain with his one thousand hands.

If we fully dedicate ourselves to Avalokiteshvara's path by cultivating altruistic aspirations, practicing equanimity, and vowing to become enlightened for the benefit of all beings, His twenty-eight Dharma Protectors will safeguard us in our spiritual journey; together with other Bodhisattvas and deities, they will shield us from any harm and peril with their magic powers.
Recite the mantra with great faith as many as possible, when we are lonely or in the darkest moments of our life , let not give up our hopes and faiths and may the astonishing light of the Great Compassion Mantra and the blessing and wisdom of the enlightened Buddhas and Bodhisattvas be with us whenever and wherever we are.

Guru Drakpo, (English: Wrathful Teacher) is one of the most wrathful and fearsome great manifestation form of Guru Rinpoche, is a fierce protector of the Dharma and a destroyer of obstacles on the path to enlightenment.

This practice is especially beneficial for removing obstacles transforming negative conditions into wisdom light. Guru Dragpo, a wrathful form of Guru Rinpoche, is a fierce protector of the Dharma and a destroyer of obstacles on the path to enlightenment. This practice is especially beneficial for transforming negative conditions into wisdom light.
Guru Drakpo, is a very fierce manifestation form of Guru Rinpoche Padmasambhava, from the Terma (Revealed Treasure). Very fierce, red in color, with one face and three eyes, he has a gaping mouth and yellow hair flowing upward.

The right hand holds upraised a black vajra sceptre, the left a nine-headed black scorpion. Adorned with a crown, earrings, bracelets and necklaces of gold and numerous writhing snakes, he wears a garland of heads and an elephant skin draped across the shoulders and with a tiger skin covers the lower body.
Guru Rinpoche is said to have taken eight forms or manifestations representing different aspects of his being, such as  wrath or pacification for example. The eight principal forms were assumed by Guru Rinpoche at different points in his life. The great manifestations of Padmasambhava belong to the tradition of the Revealed Treasures.

The great manifestations of Padmasambhava do not depict different Padmasambhavas, but reflect his ability to appear according to different needs and with different circumstances arrived.
