Understanding Diabetes Symptoms-Community Projects

This is my first health and community projects and wish to share and understand what Diabetes could potentially and harmfully  do to us. Understanding Diabetes and its Symptoms.

What Are the Symptoms of Diabetes?
People with type 2 diabetes often do not have any symptoms. When symptoms do occur, they are often ignored because they may not seem serious. Symptoms in type 1 diabetes usually come on much more suddenly and are often severe.

Common symptoms of diabetes include:
  • Excessive thirst and appetite
  • Increased urination (sometimes as often as every hour)
  • Unusual weight loss or gain
  • Fatigue
  • Nausea, perhaps vomiting
  • Blurred vision
  • In women, frequent vaginal infections
  • In men and women, yeast infections
  • Dry mouth
  • Slow-healing sores or cuts
  • Itching skin, especially in the groin or vaginal area

Call Your Doctor About Diabetes If:

You feel nauseated, weak, and excessively thirsty; are urinating very frequently; have abdominal pain
You are breathing more deeply and rapidly than normal -- perhaps with sweet breath that smells like nail polish remover -- you need immediate medical attention for ketoacidosis -- a potentially deadly complication of type 1 diabetes.

10 Million Times Of Positive Or Negative Actions On Auspicious Buddha's Day March 05, 2015

Today is an auspicious day and it's filled with many special auspicious events that happening on today. March 05, according to the lunar Calendar,   is the Buddha Shakyamurni display of miracles day.The Buddha display of miracles during the leaders of India's six main philosophical schools challenged the Buddha to a contest of miraculous powers. The Buddha displayed a different miracle each day to fifteen days, and utterly defeating his opponents, inspired many individuals to follow the Dharma.
Today is a special auspicious practice day of the Lunar month, every fifteen full moon day is the Buddha day. Today it's also known as the Chotrul Duchen according to the Tibetan Vajrayana practice. Chotrul Duchen is the Four Great Festivals (Duchen)  during the years relate to the life of the Buddha Shakyamurni.

On these days,  the effects of  positive or negative actions are said to be multiplied by 10 million times according to the Tibetan Vajrayana Buddhism. If you have committed a positive good action, and you will be blessed with the positive 10 million times of positive Karma actions, but if one has committed the negative actions and it will be multiplied by 10 million times of bad and negative actions. Reader discretion is advised.

Today is also an auspicious day for  SoJong practice. What is Sojong practice ? How does it work ? Sojong practice is to be known as  (The Practice of Confession) by the "second Buddha' of Oddiyana - Padmasambhawa or Guru Rinpoche.

Sojong practice is a teaching by the Buddha on how to fully restore all positively, to clear away and to replenish negativity.  So means -virtue and purity. Jong means-harmful deeds.  On Sojong days the observance of the Eight Vows of Mahayana Sojong or the practice of Narak Kong Shak is recommended. (You may refer to your Guru or Master for more details on Narak Kong Shak practices)

The Eight Vows of Mahayana Sojong are to be referred as follows:-

Chinese New Year Full Moon Yuan Xiao (元宵) Day

Today is an auspicious day and it's filled with many special auspicious events that happening on today. First of all, I am taking this opportunity to wish all my Chinese readers and also to all my Malaysian Chinese Dharma friends a Happy Chinese Lantern festival or the day is called Yuan Xiao (元宵)

The Chinese around the world today will be celebrated on the Full Moon fifteenth day of the first month in the luni solar year in the lunar calendar marking the last day of the Lunar new year celebration. Traditionally, the Lantern festival or famously known as the Yuan Xiao (元宵) in ancient times, the lanterns were fairly simple, and only the emperor or the noblemen had the larger Lanterns and the lanterns are almost always red to symbolize good fortune.

At this time, especially the Mainland Chinese including from Hong Kong and Macau and the Taiwanese will traditionally prepare and eat glutinous rice balls called the tangyuan  湯圓 named after the festival and enjoy a family reunion. In today's modern world, it is commercialized as the Chinese equivalent of Valentine's Day. I am not very certain,  whether the Malaysian and Singaporean Chinese do they celebrate  the Yuan Xiao (元宵)with the tangyuan  湯圓  ?

In Malaysia, The tradition of throwing oranges originated from Penang. If you visit the Esplanade at Penang, there are competitions where boys in boats are required to scoop up oranges thrown into the sea by girls, and the boat with the most oranges wins the competition. I am fascinated that the activities are carried out during the Chinese new year and  to keep the traditions alive.
