The Living Journal - Giving is simply the best

The poor one ask, why am I so poor ?
The Buddha said, you do not learn to give,
The poor one said, If I am not having anything ?
The Buddha said, you have a few things:-
Your face,  which can give a smile,
Your mouth, which can praise or comfort others,
Your heart, which can open up to others,
Your eyes,  which can look the other with the eyes of goodness,
Your body,  which can be used to help others.
Quotes by the Buddha.

"The seeds of kindness and compassion that you have planted today, It will bloom in the hearts of those that you have touched forever"

Helping othersare not only good and is a good thing to do, it also makes us happier and healthier too. Giving it's not all about money - we can also give our time, ideas and energy. So if you want to feel good, do good.
Doing things for others - whether small, unplanned acts or regular volunteering, it is a powerful way to boost our own happiness as well of those around us.  Giving isn't just about money, so you don't need to be rich. Giving to others can be as simple as a single kind word, smile or a thoughtful gesture. It can include giving time, care, skills, thought or attention. Sometimes these mean as much, if not more, than financial gifts.

It's extremely sad and ironic that while some people feast, there are some dying out of starvation. Many are having the tendency to think that that it's okay if there's an excess, there just shouldn't be a shortage of food for my family and friends.
We need discipline in our everyday lives to bring a change. We should learn to cook, to eat only what required. Excess food should be distributed  to the needy. Not wasting food should be a habit inculcated in children.

A simple act of good deed, Good deeds make you feel good, Many people are self-centered that you may think "Why would I ever want to do a good deed for them?" I don't even get a smile or words of thank you from them.
Many people, even if they don't get any appreciation back, they will still feel good about the act. You will still be putting good energy into the universe - and that can only benefit you in the long run.

Thank you for reading, may you find peace and great bliss. With your support it helps to spread the Buddha’s precious teachings and turning the Dharma wheels in the world.

Aspiration For Bodhichitta
For those in whom the precious Bodhichitta has not arisen
May it arise and not decrease
But increase further and further.

Nagarjuna's Dedication of Merit
By this merit may we obtain omniscience then.
Having defeated the enemies wrong-doings.
May we liberate migrators from the ocean of existence.
With its stormy waves of birth, old age, sickness and death.
