The Living Journal - Giving is simply the best

The poor one ask, why am I so poor ?
The Buddha said, you do not learn to give,
The poor one said, If I am not having anything ?
The Buddha said, you have a few things:-
Your face,  which can give a smile,
Your mouth, which can praise or comfort others,
Your heart, which can open up to others,
Your eyes,  which can look the other with the eyes of goodness,
Your body,  which can be used to help others.
Quotes by the Buddha.

"The seeds of kindness and compassion that you have planted today, It will bloom in the hearts of those that you have touched forever"

Helping othersare not only good and is a good thing to do, it also makes us happier and healthier too. Giving it's not all about money - we can also give our time, ideas and energy. So if you want to feel good, do good.
Doing things for others - whether small, unplanned acts or regular volunteering, it is a powerful way to boost our own happiness as well of those around us.  Giving isn't just about money, so you don't need to be rich. Giving to others can be as simple as a single kind word, smile or a thoughtful gesture. It can include giving time, care, skills, thought or attention. Sometimes these mean as much, if not more, than financial gifts.

It's extremely sad and ironic that while some people feast, there are some dying out of starvation. Many are having the tendency to think that that it's okay if there's an excess, there just shouldn't be a shortage of food for my family and friends.
We need discipline in our everyday lives to bring a change. We should learn to cook, to eat only what required. Excess food should be distributed  to the needy. Not wasting food should be a habit inculcated in children.

A simple act of good deed, Good deeds make you feel good, Many people are self-centered that you may think "Why would I ever want to do a good deed for them?" I don't even get a smile or words of thank you from them.
Many people, even if they don't get any appreciation back, they will still feel good about the act. You will still be putting good energy into the universe - and that can only benefit you in the long run.

Thank you for reading, may you find peace and great bliss. With your support it helps to spread the Buddha’s precious teachings and turning the Dharma wheels in the world.

The Living Journal – Let us be free

If you want to walk fast, you may walk alone,
Walking alone is not hard, but walking with someone, then coming back alone is difficult. So if you want to walk a distant, we walk together.

When people choose to walk out of your life, let them go. Your destiny is not meant to the one that leaves you. Sometime it’s better to walk alone than with a wrong crowd and with a wrong direction.
Do not judge someone’s path if you have not walked their journey. Stop letting people that do a little thing for you, and controlling so much of your mind, feelings and emotions. Yes, other people may be there to help us, teach us, guide us along our path, but the lesson to be learned is always ours.

Happiness is a journey and not a destination. Take the right steps and with a little persistent, little more efforts. To us what seemed to be a hopeless failure, may well turn to a glorious success, so remember if you want to predict your life, the better way is to create it.

No matter what sort of problems you experience, instead getting nervous and fearful, sit back, relax and be as silent as possible. In this way you will be able to see reality and understand the root of the problems.
Now close your eyes, for a while and take a close look at whatever you consider your biggest problem to be. Shot down your senses perception as much as possible, remain completely silent and with meditative wisdom thoughts, investigate your mind.

Where do you hold the ideas of “your problem” It is in your brain? Your stomach? Your heart? Where is that idea of problem? If you cannot find it, do not intellectualize, just relax. If miserable thoughts or bad ideas arise, just watch how they come and how they go.

Do not react emotionally, By practicing this way, you can see how the weak, unskillful cannot face problems, but your silent mind of skillful wisdom face any problem bravely, conquer it and control all your emotional and agitated state of mind.

Thank you for reading, may you find peace and great bliss. With your support it helps to spread the Buddha’s precious teachings and turning the Dharma wheels in the world.

The Savioress

Refuge and Bodhichitta to the Arya Taras ( 3 times)
Namo kon chok kun ngo jet sun mar,
Dag sog dro kun kyap su chi,
Jang chup mon pei sim kye neh,
Zap moy lam la juk par gyl.

Om Jet Sun Mar, Phagma dromala chhag-tshal lo
(Om Homage to the Venerable Arya Tara)
Om Tare Tutare Ture Soha,
Om Tare Tutare Ture Soha,
Om Tare Tutare Ture Soha

Green Tara she said; you people who see a hundred dangers, Don't be frightened-I shall swiftly save you.

H.E Lama Zopa Rinpoche has once said, if we recite the Twenty-one Taras’ prayer once every evening, it is impossible one will or to die of starvation.
Green Tara is iconographically depicted in a posture of ease and readiness for action. While her left leg is folded in the contemplative position, her right leg is outstretched, ready to spring into action.

Green Tara's left hand is in the refuge-granting mudra (gesture); her right hand makes the boon-granting gesture. In her hands she also holds closed blue lotuses (utpalas), which symbolize purity and power. She is adorned with the rich jewels of a bodhisattva.

In Buddhist religious practice, Green Tara's primary role is savioress. She is believed to help her followers overcome dangers, fears and anxieties, and she is especially worshipped for her ability to overcome the most difficult of situations. Green Tara is intensely compassionate and acts quickly to help those who call upon her.
On a lotus seat, standing for realization of voidness, (You are) the emerald-colored, one-faced, two-armed Lady In youth's full bloom, right leg out, left drawn in, Showing the union of wisdom and art - homage to you! Like the outstretched branch of the heavenly turquoise tree, Your supple right hand makes the boon- granting gesture, Inviting the wise to a feast of supreme accomplishments, As if to an entertainment-homage to you!

Your left hand gives us refuge, showing the Three Jewels; It says, "You people who see a hundred dangers, Don't be frightened-I shall swiftly save you!" Homage to you! Both hands signal with blue utpala flowers, "Samsaric beings! Cling not to worldly pleasures. Enter the great city of liberation!" Flower-goads prodding us to effort-homage to you!

A Heartfelt And Fascinating Story Of Tibet - Bringing Tibet Home.

This film is the pivotal, poignant and deeply personal debut feature documentary by Tibetan filmmaker Tenzin Tsetan Choklay. The film crew follow from start to finish the New York based Tibetan contemporary artist Tenzing Rigdol while he creates his most ambitious, political and crucial installation yet, the Soil Project.

Inspired by his father's dying wish, to once again set foot on Tibetan soil, Rigdol transported soil from Tibet through Nepal to Dharamsala, India, to bring a piece of Tibet to the exiled community who are unable to return to their homeland. Choklay films Rigdol's physical and emotional journey to overcome seemingly insurmountable challenges as he navigates the border controls of three countries to smuggle out 20 tons of Tibetan soil.
A deeply inspiring portrait of human resilience at its most tested, and a profound example of enduring creativity through times of political turmoil.

Saga Dawa or the Vesak day festival

Afterbirth, the Buddha began walk on the 7 lotus steps
He stopped with his noble voice shouted:
" I am the chief of the world,
Eldest am I in the world,
Foremost am I in the world,
 This is the last birth,
There is now no more coming to be."
The Saga Dawa Festival honors the life of Buddha. According to the tradition, when Buddha was dying, he instructed one of his followers not to honor him merely with flowers, incense and lights after he died but by striving to follow his teachings about living a noble life and being kind and compassionate.

The Buddha he urged people not to weep about his death but to remember that all compound objects like the human body must eventually disintegrate. In various Buddhist countries, people celebrate the holiday in different ways and on different days.
Enthusiastically, the Tibetan people celebrated on the full moon day of the fourth Tibetan Lunar month, Saga Dawa is the most important religious festival of Tibet. During the festival the main actitivies involve going to temples raising a tall prayer pole , called the "Tarboche" prayer flagpole and lighting many butter lamps for the occasion.
The entire Tibet is deeply immersed in the festive and spiritual atmosphere. Almost every Tibetan Buddhist is seen reciting the mantra prayers with the mala beads. According to the Buddhist literary sources, Saga Dawa festival is celebrated to highlight the day when Sakyamuni (Buddha) attained the enlightenment. The Saga Dawa Festival is an ancient festival that is celebrated by people in different countries in differing ways. Tibetan Buddhists try to do what the Buddha said and give alms and pray.

It is thought that praying and alms giving and doing acts of benevolence during Saga Dawa and in the holy month after this multiplies the merited return to the giver far more than on regular days. During the month, many Tibetans also refrain from killing animals.

Tibetans think of it as Buddha’s birthday, but they also celebrate his achieving of enlightenment and his death on the day. Many Buddhists around the world call the day Vesakha or Vesak from the Sanskrit name Vaisakha. Though the holiday is still celebrated on different days around the world, it is considered by many to be the most important Buddhist festival day.
